Caleb S Reese, PsyD, LP, DBT-LBC™
I believe obstacles can become pathways to growth, and my goal is to support those navigating struggles. Asking for help takes courage, and I aim to guide you as we explore your inner strengths. I do not ask anything of my clients I would not be willing to do myself. I recognize my own fallibilities because, like you, I am human. Through collaborative work and a shared desire for change, we will focus on what you can control while assisting you make the most of your valuable time.
I specialize in comprehensive, full-model dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Many of my clients are at war with themselves and deal with non-suicidal self-injurious actions, suicidal thoughts and urges, self-loathing, and quality of life interfering behaviors.
I am straightforward yet compassionate because I believe that genuineness fosters growth and accountability allows for healing. Even though we cannot choose what happens to us, we can learn how to respond more effectively, working toward a life worth living.
With over 15 years in the behavioral health field, I have worked in various roles supporting individuals coping with mental health, substance use, inadequate housing, and legal challenges. My graduate training focused on psychological evaluations, evidence-based practices, severe mental illness, and personality disorders. I have experience working with both adults and adolescents, including individuals identifying as LGBTQIAP+, approaching each person with curiosity and respect for each unique experience.
Throughout my career as a clinical psychologist, I have provided individual and group therapy, conducted psychological evaluations, offered trauma-informed services, and trained clinicians in DBT & motivational interviewing. As a licensed psychologist in Missouri and a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Clinician™, I am committed to ensuring the highest quality of care for my clients while maintaining a collaborative, authentic, and validating therapeutic approach. I was granted the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT)®️ from PSYPACT Commission in April 2025.
Beyond my clinical work, I am a member of Empty Cloud Sangha, an active Zen practitioner, and co-creator of the sangha’s monthly book club. I have been a formal Zen student of Randy Wolbert Rōshi since 2021.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, tackling my ever-growing stack of books, exploring new neighborhoods with my dog, listening to podcasts, and indulging in spicy foods.
I look forward to the possibility of us working together.
